What we Treat.

  • Trauma: Single and multiple incident trauma, complex trauma (cPTSD), developmental and attachment trauma, and transgenerational trauma.

  • Depression: Single incident, multiple incident, or persistent low mood, low energy, low motivation, low interest, impaired sleep and appetite, and rumination.

  • Mania (Bipolar Disorder): Episodic mania (hyperactivity, poor impulse control, decreased need for sleep) typically alternates with depression.

  • Anxiety and related Disorders: Intermittent or persistent experiences of worry or preoccupation with abnormal bodily sensations related to various themes.

  • Executive Impairment (e.g., Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder, ADHD): Difficulty focusing, planning, prioritizing, organizing, and completing tasks/projects.

  • Psychosis: Intermittent or persistent experiences of visual, auditory, tactile, gustatory (taste), and olfactory (smell) hallucinations as well as delusions.

While many psychiatric professionals treat these conditions, what differs is HOW we treat these conditions.

How we Treat.

Integrative Psychiatry combines conventional and functional medicine approaches into a whole-person (holistic) exploration of symptoms to identify the root causes of psychiatric symptoms. A psychiatric diagnosis (e.g., Major Depressive Disorder) is a descriptive term for your symptoms that does not explain the cause. This approach takes the next step by looking at what causes your symptoms. Using advanced laboratory and diagnostic testing, this approach helps to objectively explore brain and bodily-based causes. Understanding how the brain and body interact allows us to see how your external environment may impact you. Based on this, treatment is tailored and personalized to each individual instead of a “one-size-fits-all” approach. Treatment options include medications, nutraceuticals (e.g., herbals and botanicals), therapy, and lifestyle modifications. Targeting problems with more precision will help you achieve holistic well-being.

Whether you are interested in a specific treatment focus (e.g., medicine, nutraceuticals, lifestyle, therapy) or a fully integrative approach, we will tailor the plan to your needs and interests.

Testimonials.

Dr. Hatcher is always accessible. He gets back to me quickly when I send an email or a text when I have questions or concerns. I feel like I actually have someone I can rely on.
— Anonymous Patient
I was able to get an appointment fast instead of waiting months for the first appointment. I feel like Dr. Hatcher listens and I’m not rushed during the appointment.
— Anonymous Patient
I have seen several psychiatrists and Dr. Hatcher is the first person to do any kind of lab work to see if there is something that may be causing my symptoms. After treating the problems that showed up in labs I am in a much better place!
— Anonymous Patient
I enjoy looking at several parts of my life, not just at what medicine might help me. We have been able to work on several things beyond medication and I think this is important for mental health.
— Anonymous Patient
Dr. Hatcher was the first doctor to recommend genetic testing. After trying several medications in the past, he was able to get me on the right medications that work for me instead of just guessing at treatments.
